A long blog to make up for both Saturday and Sunday
On Saturday TK went off to a birthday party so Argyle and I snuck of to explore a shopping centre that we'd never been to before.
The aim was to buy me a new winter jacket, a bit of retail therapy always helps - unless you can't find something you like/want/need/ in your size/price range and then, well it is just plain depressing.
But that wasn't the case for us, we found a jacket I loved straight away, and although there were cheaper jackets in the store, my mind could not me changed, and anyways, it was still within my budget. We didn't even bother going to the two other stores I thought might contain other potential 'deevaa's perfect new winter jacket'.
We did get suckered into a candle store, but then that's no surprise, we always get suckered into candle stores.
We brought 6 white ceramic tea light holders that when put together make a circle, and also a beautiful glass floating candle bowl.
TK and Argyle got haircuts in the morning - they both look great!
On Sunday I'd asked for some 'painting time' so Argyle took TK over to visit with his family while I stayed home to paint. The painting is nearly done, but there is something missing - and I just can't work out what it is. (Maybe if I can talk Argyle into bringing the digi-cam home from work I can ask for your opinion tomorrow.)
So, I decide to give the room some atmosphere, that might help me paint, right? (I've moved my easel into the living room from the kitchen/dining room now the weather is getting colder, no point sitting out there in the cold.) So I fill the floating candle bowl with water and add some gel candles, and some flowers. It looks good, but I decided to add some aromatherapy oil as well. So I'm adding the oil when the 'dropper' falls off the bottle and half a bottle of 'love blend' tips into my candle bowl.
Because of my asthma I'm sensitive to too much fragrance so I quickly tip the bowl of oily water down the kitchen sink and refill it. There is enough 'love blend' residue on the bowl/candles/flowers to keep the room smelling good for a day or so, and as I discovered this morning - if I run hot water down the sink the oil residue in the drain wafts around the kitchen as well. I guess there will be plenty of lovin' in our house for the next few days. *smirk*

Hey, YOU wanted atmosphere, you didn't specify quantity, did you?
Hang in there with the job stuff. What's meant to be, will be. Your job is out there, you just haven't found it yet.
Hah. I did that once, too. On one of those light bulb burner thingys.
Where are the pictures of the boys and their new 'do's???
