  • You rock!

Here are some of my 'rock' beads:
I might be biased, but I think they rock.
    (cough)
    (bad, I know)

Three of the beads in the upper right of this shot have been etched to take the shine off them:

I'm not sure that I love the etched look as much as I thought I might.

One thing I really love about them is the way they feel in your hand, they are really smooth and the glass warms up to body temperate pretty fast, so while they are cool when you put them on, they warm up and feel silky smooth on your neck....

... I'm really happy with them (did you get that?)

I'm going to order more of this glass as soon as payday rolls around!

And in non-rock beadiness.... check out these colours:

I'm not sure if I should make these into necklaces or sell the beads by themselves.

    Feedback/comments welcome.

  • Have you worked out which would create the most income? Beads or necklaces? I'd go with the "more profit" option.
They're all soooo beautiful. You are very talented.

  • Personally i don't like the etched ones.. they look like you forgot to shine the stones. Maybe for some, that is more realistic looking for passing them off as real stones. But i like the shinny ones! i still can't believe that they are made of glass and not real ocean rocks.

Hmmm those other beads would look great as a necklace with sterling silver accents... and you can also sell them seperately too... but i bet it would look perfect if you made something with them....

Thank you for showing us your creations... i do enjoy looking at them and drooling! giggles....

  • If you choose to make jewelery out of those "rock" beads, you could (and this is just a suggestion) call one of the creations Petra. The reason? Well, Petra is of Greek origin and it means rock Talk about being bias here...

And yes, these beads are -- yet again -- awesome!

  • Yay, beads!

I love the matte ones for the exact opposite reason as s.s.: they look like you just picked them up off the beach. I would love to wear something like that. People would probably ask what little cove on the Maine coastline you found them from, and how the holes got there, haha : )

Personally, I'd be totally into buying them as beads, to make into my own thing; but then again, i'm crafty like you are, and would probably just wear a single stone bead on a cord. I wish i could afford to buy them as one of your beautiful bracelets!

  • whatever you decide they are gorgeous
