  • I've been having this conversation a LOT recently.

I tell people that I made beads as a hobby, and show them an example, a necklace or a bracelet.

And they say "oh pretty, where did you get the beads, they are really different."

and I say "I made them."

    "You made the bracelet?"

    "and I made the beads."

    "You made the beads?"

    "Yeah"

    "How?"

    "Well, I melt the glass."

    "You melt the glass?"

    "yeah."

(... and that's when they stop believing me and kinda zone out.)

  • You can't blame them, really...  I've seen the photos and I still can't believe you're actually making these pretty beads at home!

  • they cant get their head around the beauty!

happens with art  OFTEN...you have   ARRIVED :) ))))wooooooooooo

  • that is their problem if they don't believe you... tell them that you only handle unique stuff and for the materials to be that unique, you have to make them yourself. It's a shame really that they don't believe you. You are one fantastic artist... and babe, you have arrived! giggles...

  • Pssh. I have the same problem. I finally figured out that's how you filter out the boring people.

That photo is GORGEOUS, by the way. Nevermind just buying the bracelet, the picture of it would look good on my wall too!

(more bead blogs, if you please <3 )

  • i think those people are a bit silly.  i'd be amazed and then totally impressed.  and i'd probably make you show me how you do it!

  • I think that is amazing and interesting and SO much YOU, Dee... would love to hear how you go through the process, personally.

  • But evidently your own sentences should be realistic
