  • International dinner...

Last night my department had an international dinner at my bosses house.

(such a nice house, and a really great layout for having parties!)

Due to the diverse nature of our work group, there was food there from all around the globe, Australia, Eastern Europe, Sri Lanka, India, New Zealand, South Africa, Greece, Iran and Afghanistan (I think that was everyone!).

The food was delicious And we all ate too much.

Some of my favourite foods on the night came from Iran and Afghanistan ... *drool*

I've been listening to an audiobook called 'Funny in Farsi' which is about the life of an Iranian woman who grew up in the USA. I've really enjoyed the book and each day I go in and talk about what I've heard on the book, so it was really nice to taste the food that that book talks about.

And it tasted good too. Really good!

  • That sure was a nice mixture of different cuisines. One of my "odd" favorites is Nepalese food. Which reminds me, now that I'm also living in Helsinki, I should just go and have a Nepalese dinner one of the evenings...
