  • Ross and I decided that I have to sell another painting.

    We’ve put a deposit on a new fridge and have to pay the balance within 8 weeks.

    I actually need to sell about 10 paintings. Ha.

    Usually when I sell a painting I put ½ of the money I get back into art supplies, but I really don’t think we’ll be able to do that this time, we just have too many things that require money at the moment.

    Several months back I sold our (ugly) dining room table and chairs because someone said they’d been searching for one ‘just like it’ and I didn’t like it, and we had thought that there was another table in the works. The table in the works fell through and now we need to buy one, right now we either need those or stools for the breakfast bar, but in the long term, we’ll need both. And fences. And a steering lock for my new car, the fridge – of course… we have a pretty long list going, and the thing is, the list isn’t full of expensive flights of whimsy, they are things we really do need.

    The thing about moving into a brand new house is that you don’t want to fill it up with all the crap furniture you’ve always made do with.

    So if you’ve always wanted to buy a deevaa, now would be a really good time. Hehe.

    Inspired by a dress I noticed while flipping through 'Bazzar'.



    I've been itching to paint for the past two days, to paint or to stick down some gold leaf or something, I need to create. I've had a ton of excellent idea's for paintings and I've got no outlet.


    I know I won't get to paint until at least Monday or Tuesday of next week, and only then if I can get enough boxes unpacked to allow me close to my brushes.


    It really is starting to stress me out. More than the move infact. The fact I can not paint for over a week, is stressing me out more than moving house.


    How freaky is that?

  • I would ~so~ buy one of these if I had the dough to spare right now...especially that pink dress one, it's exquiste! I'll spread the word.

  • Good luck selling them. If Ghost and I had the $$$, I'd be snapping up that cleavage painting in a heartbeat.

  • ...from reading backwards, know you sold some. Great - now our cutie will have refrigerated food - whew!
    ...remember when you were moving from NZ without art supplies? What a withdrawal period that was! From now on, in any type of move, you must keep aside an art box with just your supplies. Nothing worse than being a frustrated artist. Hugs, MuSe
